Yup, it's Nagato Yuki from Suzumiya Haruhi no yuutsu

last christmas, this very young artist, *Cold-Melissa just got a new tablet from her father. you can guess which model from the picture above, and she named it "yuki" . I'm quite positive she might have been into so much trouble dealing with this new "unfriendly" device. so I decided to gave her a "homework"

tablet is not a magic tool to turn an artwork into a godlike painting. it requires alot of hardwork and practice. and this artwork proves that she gave a lot of effort, so many trials and error, and finally she succeeded to finish the painting. she even managed to maintain her own coloring style from her earlier mouse painting, yet in a very very short amount of time : 310 mnt her father should be very proud of her

Now let's take look at the painting. I think Melissa has a very good taste in coloring the computer set (although the keyboard wasn't very convincing...guilty upon me). I didn't tell her that I was drawing my computer (except for the LCD display) . And it's a good thing that she started learning about reflection and refraction appeared on eyeglasses . She also gave a nice glossy effect touch-up over the computer set. Of course, this cute alien nagato yuki had become much prettier & looks more wealthier (notice her golden frame glasses) . heheh

thank you, Melissa, and congratz on gaining control over your new tablet. however, I would encourage you to keep sticking with your pencil and sketchbook! why? because you're young and you'll learn alot even more from pencil drawing. and eventually, you'll deal with the tablet drawing even more fluently of course, for coloring purpose, tablet way are much faster

beside, pencil and paper are cheap, batteryfree, hands friendly & weightless
